Add Interactive Functions to Web Site

  • Put small surveys on your site to provide immediate feedback of prospect needs to your sales person

One way to really impress your prospective clients is to give them thorough and immediate responses to their questions and concerns. If set up correctly, your web site can be the first link to great customer service.

By having small surveys and questionnaires on your site allowing prospective clients to answer a couple of questions about what they are interested in, they feel like they are automatically getting somewhere while searching for a solution to their needs.

One of the best parts about these types of surveys is that you can set them up to email you directly when these surveys are filled out. For example, we have a survey that will email all our employees when someone enters information about what type of services they may require. From that email, our team can jump into action.

The salesperson can take that email and all them right back, our project managers can start getting together price quotes for the prospective client and this can all be taken care of within minutes and with very little stress on the client.

Imagine you are searching through the internet for a widget producer. You find two sites. One site seems interesting, but their contact information is difficult to find and once you find it you really aren't in the mood to make that phone call.

On the other site, you see a quick little survey that not only lets you discuss your needs, but also shows you other possibilities to do with your widgets once you get them. No harm in filling it out. 10 minutes after you fill it out someone calls you back, discusses your widget needs, discussing pricing and timing, and overall gives you all you could ask for. Now I ask, where would you buy your widgets?!

These email surveys are very easy to setup. They utilize cgi scripts, which most web hosting companies support (however, if you are not sure, call your hosting company for more details). To learn how to use these scripts to work for you, you can look at these sites:

These scripts are relatively powerful and learning how to use them can make the customer service side of your company work much smoother. Starting a new company takes a lot of teamwork, even if you are the whole team!

Polls are also a nice thing that you can easily put on your web site to add a bit of interactivity.
